bumblebee away from home (again)

I'm not sure why, but my henkei Bumblebee seems to always find himself stowed away in my backpack when I manage to travel somewhere.

This one was when I went to the Philippines for a friend's wedding. It was in a resort-like place with a beach and a swimming pool.

So, while I was away doing random wedding-y things, Bee woke up, and decided to do his usual waking up things. Even in unfamiliar surroundings.

But since it was quite the walk to get there, he waited until I got back and hitched a ride in my pouch. I guess he really likes riding in my bags? I dunno.

The wedding color theme was yellow. Someone thought that maybe Bee might've been part of the bridal entourage.

He managed to escape bridal duties, but being bright and yellow and most importantly, being a TOY kind of attracted one of the kids in attendance. Poor bee.

It took a little while before the kid finally found something else more interesting. Bee probably got sand in all sorts of different parts of his body, so he decided to leave the party and head for the showers (aka the sink).

When I got back from the wedding proceedings, I found him asleep wrapped in the towel. I just let him be, he seemed really comfy.

The next morning, he decided to tag along with me while I had breakfast with my friends by the pool. The weather was awesome!

And of course he had to play in the pool, too.

It was a pretty awesome short vacation, for both of us. I got to see some of my bestest friends in the world, and he got to get some time off from being picked on by the Lambo twins and the Decepticon seekers.

I suppose that's why he "accidentally" stows away in my backpack when I go on trips.

Post-story notes

I realise Bumblebee is a bit over-exposed at the moment due to the movies and Transformers: Prime and his current role in the ongoing comics series, but these pictures were actually taken close to two years ago. At that time, he was my default travel companion.

Maybe some other bots else will accidentally find themselves in my backpack the next time I travel. :-)

toy showcase: kre-o microchangers combiners - constructicon devastator

I *love* the Kre-O microchangers series. And when they came out with 4 packs of combiner/gestalt goodness? I had to rush to the nearest Toys R Us the moment there was confirmed sighting of their stock arrival. Now, I understand that there are Transformers fans out there who are rather disappointed with this series - they'd rather see more awesome bots and figures being produced by Hasbro. I am not against them, cooler bot toys would be awesome, too. But I do love me some Lego minifig-style bots. They're easy to play with and bring around and take silly pictures with! There are a total of 4 different Combiner packs so far: Decepticon Bruticus, Constructicon Devastator, Predaking, and Superion. That's 3 Decepticon gestalts versus 1 Autobot gestalt. Not fair, Hasbro! :P But whatever, I guess they went by popularity? I don't know. Here are the main covers of the boxes:And the front flaps that showcase the individual Kreon bots:Notice how they only make use of 4 bots for each …

This is the 2nd comic from my old comic series, My Toys are Alive. Before you start reading, though, know that light booze and candy addiction, as well as some "grownup humor", may appear in these comics.
